True Enlightenment about God and life is found in Jesus Christ. Remember the desire of a Buddhist is enlightenment. And so we connect with that desire. We believe that it’s a good desire – to desire for enlightenment – and true Enlightenment is found in Jesus Christ. You know that’s what the Apostle Paul prayed. He prayed that “the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened, that you would see the richest of your inheritance in Christ.” So we connect with that. And I love what it says in Acts chapter 26 where Jesus said to the Apostle Paul that “his mission was to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ.” And so this is how I see my mission in life, our mission in life, World Impact Mission’s mission in life, all your partners, our mission is to open people’s eyes. Not condemn people, not go with our finger saying you need to do this and you need to do that. No we open their eyes to who God is. How do we see who God is? God is revealed through Jesus. So we say to people “Look at Jesus” because Jesus said “if you have seen me you have seen God.” Hebrews says that Jesus is the expressed image of the invisible God. You can say that Jesus is the face of God. So we open people’s eyes by showing them Jesus.
